The ultimate blueprint to setting boundaries that help you SLAY at life
Lesson 6: Boundaries for Coaches and Client-Facing Professionals
Boundaries aren't just for personal life—they are essential to the health, clarity, and growth of your coaching practice. Without them, your business becomes a place where your energy is drained, your time is hijacked, and your role is blurred.
| AREA | BOUNDARY TO ESTABLISH |
|---|---|
| Time | Set structured availability for calls, responses, and content creation. Example: "Client calls only on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 10AM–4PM." |
| Access | Decide how and where clients can reach you (e.g., email, Voxer, private portal). Limit spontaneous texts and avoid social DMs. |
| Communication | Be clear about tone and expectations. Example: "Feedback is welcome, but disrespect is not part of this container." |
| Client Responsibility | Set clear roles: You are the guide, not the savior. The client must be responsible for their results. |
| Emotional Regulation | Your role is not to hold trauma unless you're trauma-trained. Know when to refer or pause. |
| Pricing and Value | Avoid undercharging or negotiating out of guilt. Your rate reflects your work, your energy, and your expertise. |
| Confidentiality and Personal Sharing | Maintain clear emotional distance—oversharing dilutes authority and confuses roles. Only share what supports their transformation, not what seeks validation. |
You can't serve well from an empty, resentful, or unclear place.
Boundaries in your business aren't optional. They're essential.
The coaches who SLAY at life don't just help others set boundaries.
They model them. They enforce them. They protect their capacity fiercely.
That's what you're building here.
