Lesson 8: Embodying Your Identity
Acting Like Who You Are
The Final Piece: You can't just KNOW your identity. You have to EMBODY it. Knowledge alone won't change anything. You have to start acting like who you are, not who you've been conditioned to believe you are. This is where most people get stuck—they learn the truth about their identity, but they keep operating from the old identity.
"Self-rejection is the greatest enemy of the spiritual life because it contradicts the sacred voice that calls us the 'Beloved.' Being the Beloved expresses the core truth of our existence."
Henri Nouwen
This is how you rebuild identity: One aligned action at a time. Embodying your identity means making choices that align with who God says you are, even when it feels uncomfortable.

Your Identity-Aligned Action This Week
This is your embodiment exercise. You're not waiting to feel confident—you're acting FROM your identity.
"For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind."
2 Timothy 1:7
Remember: You can't do this work alone. You need community. You need people who see your true identity when you've forgotten it. You need accountability when you're tempted to shrink back into the old identity.
